My MS Jouney
Before MS, I was drinking, staying up all night, not moving my body, and eating whatever was cheap. Deep down, I was sad, lost, and running on empty. Then came the day I’ll never forget.
At a farmers’ market, a strange tingling started in my legs. Within minutes, my lower body was buzzing with what felt like a million ants crawling through me. An MRI confirmed lesions in my brain and spine. The diagnosis: Multiple Sclerosis.
Like most, I tried to brush it off. I read everything online, made a few changes, and convinced myself maybe it wasn’t that serious. But then came more flare-ups, dropping things, losing balance, falling, fatigue, and a stabbing pain like frozen ice picks on every nerve.
That was my breaking point. Lying in a hospital bed, hooked to steroids, I finally accepted my diagnosis. Acceptance gave me clarity, ownership, and strength. MS was part of me, but it wasn’t all of me.
From there, I began showing up for myself. I built awareness, made real sustainable changes, and reclaimed my health one day at a time. The MS didn’t disappear, but now I can positively affect how I feel day to day.
My Coaching Jouney
As I gained more control of my own MS, I realized something: people don’t need more advice, they need personalized support. I knew when I turned this passion into a purpose that I didn’t want to just “tell people what to do.” I want to truly help them change their lives.
That’s when I discovered health and wellness coaching. Real coaching isn’t about giving commands. It’s about holding up a mirror, shining a light on blind spots, and walking beside people as they create their own High Performance Health Roadmap forward.
I became a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) so I could bring both lived experience and behavioral science into my practice. My approach is grounded in Motivational Interviewing, the Stages of Change model, S.M.A.R.T. Goals, and Positive Psychology. Tools that help people build awareness, foster commitment, and create long-term change.
Today, I coach people with MS to take back control of their health, not with band-aid fixes, but with proven strategies that address what’s holding you back. Together, we focus on fueling the body and mind, moving with purpose, and recharging to sustain progress.
When I’m not coaching, you’ll probably find me outdoors, moving my body, writing poetry, or drumming. These practices remind me daily that health isn’t about perfection, it’s about pursuing progress, staying present, and continuing to build a life you love.
